Coupon Abbreviation

Here are some frequently used couponing lingo, or abbreviations for starters:

10/11 – October 11. Date denoting Sunday coupon insert
$1/1 – $1 off one item
B1G1 or BOGO – Buy one get one free
Blinkie – In-store coupon dispenser near product, sometimes it’s a red blinking box
Catalina – Some deals involves coupons printed out at the register after you purchase certain items. They’re usually redeemable at the same store, and could be for the same products you brought, or as store credits.
ECB – Extra Care Bucks, rewards program from CVS.
GM – General Mills Sunday Coupon insert
MM – Money Maker. Where you actually get paid shopping
OOP – Out of pocket – total paid.
PG – Proctor & Gamble Sunday coupon insert
Printable – Coupon you print from the internet website, usually limit 2 per computer
RP – Red Plum Sunday coupon insert
SS – Smart Source Sunday coupon insert
Stacking – Where you stack store coupons (e.g. from Target/Rite Aid/Walgreens) with manufacturer’s coupon to maximize savings
wyb – when you buy, when you purchase
