About Bounty and Savings

About Lee, creator of Bounty and Savings

Welcome to Bounty and Savings. I’m a full time mom of 2, part time environmental engineer, multi-cultural (hailing from 4 countries) Northern Californian, also a linguistic, piano and math teacher (to my kids)! I am passionate about savings, very exciting to have entered the couponing world and sharing the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way by creating this blog. In this day and age, saving with coupon is not just about clipping and putting them into a big binder anymore-and I would like to help you in your journey to save.

Couponing is not a trivial matter – it requires savvy-ness, good planning, and willingness to negotiate with cashiers at the checkout stand. When I first started couponing, I found that coupon use is not as widespread in this part of California. I hope my site will help those who are navigating the wonderful world of couponing, and makes it easier to save money, in this part of the county.

Another reason to save on groceries? So that we could use the money saved to buy more fruits and vegetables. And I want to help you to achieve that too.

I’m a parent who is deeply concerned about

1. Getting enough fresh produce into my family’s diet, especially my growing children’s;

2. Purchasing these fresh produce without breaking the bank;

3. Support local farmers and sustainable farming practices.

We discovered that by supporting our local farmers market/natural food store, AND  using coupons to save on everyday groceries, we have been able to achieve the above.  Fresh produce consists of a huge part of our grocery budget, and I hope through my blog, I could share with you the many ways to save on everyday groceries, and introduce you to the world of amazing local produce, small mom-and-pop groceries store, and natural food stores.

Also, who could resist the “high” of knowing you’ve saved over 50% in groceries, or pay only a few dollars for a whole basket of things that you and your family use everyday?

Please join me in my journey.

what a great site, love it! Unfortunately I can’t help you with deals from Germany! But once I have my shop I make a special offer on certain products and put a link to your website!
