CVS Week of 1/17: Best Deals: Free Chips, Sobe Life Water, True Life Nuts

by Lee on January 17, 2010 · 2 comments

The only thing that jumps out this week is the Pepsico ECB deals. If you haven’t taken advantage of the CVS bonus days ECB deals, there’s still plenty of time (till mid-feb I think). These deals are for Northern CA, other states may vary. New to CVS and ECBs? See my CVS Guide.

Use this CVS $5 off $20 printable coupon!

Note: Even though the ad says the Soy Joy is “limit 1″, I’ve been buying upwards of (5) 6 pk bars and it still says more to go. Actual limit seems to be (6) at my store (W. Davis). My kid’s school office takes them for convenient individual snacks to hungry kids!!

**Pepsico ECB deal:**
Buy $20 of Pepsico Products, get $10 ECB (limit 2)
(See end of post for my scenario)
-$7.5 to $10 mail-in Rebate when you $20-$30 in Pepsi products – (limited # of states, some states require beer purchase) (thanks, Southensavers!) Pepsico Products include:

Pepsi 12 pk $2.5 each (thanks Ashley for the correction!) Note: Mountain Dew is also included. Dr. Pepper may or may not be included depending your region, so check your tag).

Lays or Tostitos Chips $3.5
-$1 off Tostitos Chips AND Dip Jan 10 All You Magazine
-$0.55 off Tostitos Chips AND Dip SS 1/17

Stacys Pita Chips $3
-$1/1 Stacy’s Pita Chips printable coupon or Frito-Lays Brand Chips printable

Gatorade 32oz., Sobe 20oz, or Pepsi 2 liter $1.25
-$0.50/1 Gatorade G2 only, RP 1/10

Sobe Life Water $1.25

True North Nuts 4.5-6oz $3
-$1/1 True North Nuts Dec 09 All You Magazine or printable coupon

Amp, Izze, Starbucks Frappuccino 4 pks $5

**Other deals**

Dawn Dish Liquid $0.96
-$0.25/1 Dawn PG 12/27
-$0.5/1 Dawn Plus Hand Renewal PG 1/17

Buy Pantene Expressions/Restoratives Hair Care or Head & Shoulders $4.99, Get $2 ECB
-$3/2 Pantene PG 12/27
-$1/1 Pantene Styler, Hair Spray PG 12/27
-$2/2 Head & Shoulders PG 12/27

(2) Johnson & Johnson First Aid To Go Kit (trial section), $0.99
-$1/1 Johnson & Johnson First Aid RP 1/3, or Safeway $26 Coupon Booklet
Total = FREE

My scenario and experience: Some of the cashier at my CVS (W. Davis) has starting to take off the $5/$20 AFTER manufacturer’s coupon, sigh. I have to either pick another cashier or make sure the other stuff that I bought will make up for the coupons. I know at my Rite Aid, the $5/$25 coupon WILL SCAN even after manufacturer’s coupon and the total’s less than $25, but not sure about CVS. What has been your experience?
(3) Stacy’s Chip $3
(3) True North Nuts $3
(2) Sobe Life Water $1.25
(1) Soy Joy $6
(2) Johnson & Johnson First Aid To Go Kit $0.99
Total = $28.5

Coupons used:
-$5/$20 printable coupon
-$1/1 Stacy’s x 3
-$1/1 True North x 3
-$1/1 Johnson’s First Aid x 2
Total Due: $15.5
Get Back: $10 ECB from Pepsico, $6 ECB from Soy Joy, everything FREE

The Pepsi 12-packs are 2/$5 here in Roseville…you might want to check your ad. I’ve been reading around and every region is different, but I would think ours would be the same! If 2/$5, that’s 8 packs for $20, -$5/20 Q = $15 plus get back $10 ECB. So $5 for 8 packs!!!!!! BTW, did you see if Dr Pepper is included in our region???? I’ve seen conflicting reports on that too. I’m SOOOO glad to have a local blog! Been to Peet’s and Noah’s a couple times already!

Hi Ashley, thanks so much for the correction! At some states Dr. Pepper is bottled by Pepsi, others by Coke. It might help to check the package and see whether they’re bottled under PepsiCo or Coca-Cola?
