Here’s a great promotion for beginner’s ski equipment rental and lessons, this weekend at North Lake Tahoe. It’s “Learn More on the North Shore” December 12 through December 13. For only $25, you get all day instructions, rental equipment, and beginner lift ticket. Applies to adult and children. We did this a couple years ago at Squaw Valley (site of the VIII Winter Olympic) and it’s awesome.

Other resorts said to participate include Sugar Bowl, Diamond Peak, Granlibakken, Homewood Mountain Resort and Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. I would call to confirm with the resort on event details and make sure to check the weather the day before, to ensure safe conditions (last year some resort canceled their-because of insufficiant snow!)
