Sacramento Children’s Museum Free Groundbreaking Event

SacChildrenMuseumThe Sacramento Children’s Museum will have it’s groundbreaking event scheduled for this Wednesday, October 21st, at 2701 Prospect Park Drive in Rancho Cordova, CA from 4 to 8 p.m. The SCM will be the region’s first children’s museum, scheduled to open next year. It will target kids ages 8 and below.

Music, games, entertainment, and other free activities for the whole family will be part of the event. Other activities will include “make your own lava lamp,” tattoos, face painting, and a coloring station. Radio Disney will be on-site with music and prizes for children. Dinger from the River Cats will be a special guest!

Jamba Juice will sell smoothies, wraps, and other food items with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the SCM.

A unique attraction at the Museum will be a permanent exhibit of children’s art produced from artwork kits that will only be available for purchase at the Groundbreaking Event. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for children to create art that will be permanently displayed in the Museum. ”
