The Davis library book sale is here again, from October 8 (members only, you can join at the door) through October 11. Books range from 50 cents to a dollar for children’s, and 2 dollars for adult’s. This Sunday, is $5 a bag, and half-price “better books”. All the proceed goes towards the Friends of the Davis Library, which provides additional funds for programs and books. Address is 606 Pena Drive, Davis, CA 95616.
This is one of my favorite book sale place – there’re always a ton of good children books, and many, many adult best sellers, too. e.g. We got all but one of the Harry Potter series, hardcover (never seen the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at any used book sale!), and all of the The Golden Compass Trilogy at this book sale, and you know how expensive those could be. My kids don’t really care whether their books are new or not, and many of the used books are of nice quality.
If you become Friends of the Davis library, they’d send you a card before every book sale (every few months), and you’d receive $4 off book purchases. If you’re old books buff, my card says: “Many old books: History, literature, biography, fiction, science fiction and mysteries”
